Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) is conducted to determine and document that the system hardware and software operates according to the determined specifications. The FAT covers equipment functionality, communications interface compatibility, fault management and verification of all support systems. We at Vislink feel this a important milestone in the system delivery process, it is particularly important for very large integrated systems however, the user who is fielding the smallest portable and mobile systems equally has a stake in ascertaining that the delivered equipment meets all requirements and expectation.
FAT will allow you to not only test your equipment, but also to review its complete operation so that it fully meets your business requirements. Any workable changes can be incorporated via a simple Variance Order (VO). As you might expect the ability to make and incorporate a range of available changes is significantly higher and simpler prior to deployment.
In particular OEM items can be fully tested and demonstrated with your complete system.
Completing a formal FAT will ensure that you are able to maximise use of the equipment fully upon receipt.
